Tomorrow

Tomorrow was the first song that Jack and the Fat Man recorded. Lacking access to proper recording equipment, they used a two channel interface and a closet to get their sound. They opened the doors of the closet, hung a blanket around the inside, and put a mattress atop the ajar doors in order to achieve a makeshift isolation booth. To get their mix right, they ran back and forth between the closet and Jack's truck.

Mr. Johnson

In 2022, Jack and Fat Man took a trip to Clarksdale, Mississippi, to find the infamous Crossroads where Robert Johnson made his supposed deal with the Devil. After seeing the Crossroads, they set out to find Robert Johnson's grave. Both Jack and Fat Man recall the feeling of the wind pushing them towards his grave. This experience inspired "Mr. Johnson"

Stargazer

While Jack doesn't usually write songs about specific things, this song has a very clear message of dealing with the never-ending changes that life entails and still attempting to "reach for the stars"

Worn

Jack's friend David, took the picture used for the release of this song on the third of July, 2024. "Worn" describes the struggles of someone down on their own luck and trying to do better while feeling as though they are the one holding themselves back from success.

Never A Good Time

According to Jack, the words came to him while he was at work, sanding a truck bed. He says it was a spur the moment, "stop what you're doing and write it down kind of deal". When asked what this song means to him, he said "shoot, I don't know. Things just be popping into my head"
